We use a variety of design and development tools, and we like to push these tools to their limits. If you like using PPT, Excel and other authoring tools and have a strong artistic side, you will be well served.

As a member of the Learning and Performance team, you will work with our clients on projects (often related to technology deployments) to:

    • Design tailored training materials, in collaboration with client subject matter experts, using a hybrid approach. These include: 
      • Program plans, course outlines, and lesson plans
      • Storyboards, eLearning capsules, PowerPoint presentations, and activity workbooks; often in French and English, and according to best practices in andragogy
  • Design performance support tools and reference materials such as user guides, online help documentation, checklists, job aids, diagnostic aids, etc. 

Depending on your interests and level of experience, you may also:

  • Analyze training needs and define optimal pedagogical strategies
  • Develop prototypes, define standards, and develop design templates for training and performance support materials

As a consulting firm, our client mandates are our raison d’être. To ensure client trust, promote sound project management, and maintain a healthy work-life balance, we rely on transparent communication using proven project monitoring tools.

In addition to client mandates, you will have the opportunity to participate in one of Miyagi’s committees that influence the evolution and growth of our company.

Experience and skills required  

Essential   

  • 2–5 years experience in designing blended learning programs
  • Advanced English and French writing skills
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and PPT design tool

Important 

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in education, training, or related field
  • Experience in technical writing or writing support material
  • Knowledge of the Articulate 360 suite or other authoring and animation tools
  • Application of andragogy, interface design, and user experience principles
  • Strong bilingual (French and English) verbal communication skills 
  • Experience working with subject matter experts

Assets

  • Involvement in the deployment of integrated management systems or other IT systems
  • Experience in project management and design and production ratios
  • Experience in work process mapping
